水鸟

两只水鸟浮动在水边

乌篷船里发出了枪声

一只在惊怖中逃逸了

另一只挣扎在受伤的痛苦里

它的翅翼无力地拍着水面

又迷乱地飞了几圈

才慢慢地向上举起

终于朝江岸的岩石

与丛林间飞去……

此刻

它在岩石的隙缝间

用自己的嘴抚自己的创伤

在寂寞的哀鸣里

期待着伴侣的来临

Two water birds were floating at the waterside

When a gunshot sounded from a dark-awninged boat

One escaped in fright

Yet the other struggled in pain

Beating its feeble wings on the water

Wandering in a few rounds

Finally raised itself slowly

And flew to the rocks at the riverside

Then into the woods...

Now

It must be hiding in a rock rift

Curing itself with its own beak

And waiting for its partner

In plaintive cries of loneliness

(in 1940; On Fuyi River)
