盼望着能到天边

去那盏灯的下面——

而天是比盼望更远的！

虽然光的箭，已把距离

消灭到乌有了的程度；

但怎么能使我的颤指，

轻轻的抚触一下

那盏灯的辉煌的前额呢？

Longing to go beyond the horizon

To be right under the lamp --

Yet heaven is always remoter than the longing!

Though the arrow of light

Has put an end to the distance

How could I gently

Touch the glorious forehead of the lamp

With my trembling fingers?
