The Colors Inside

Deep purple covers the landscape

in my mind, swirled with ebony

and hunter green.

Crimson boils from the middle,

creating havoc in

this scheme.

Orange has been burnished

by your words,

to a copper laced with black.

Yellow has died,

replaced by blue that cries.

These colors are not happy,

mixing with the blood.

Darkness envelopes my world

with a vengeance.

Screams are lost in the deepness

of these colors,

blended and mixed

til one cannot be picked

from the other.

I want to live in pastels,

soft and bright.

Splattered across the sky of

my mind.

Soft green grasses on which to lay

my head, soft blue to stare at in

the morning sky.

Pinks and violets

splayed across my vision.

Time to revamp my world.
