妈妈说过

当我刚懂事时，妈妈对我说：

“不可以拿别人的东西！”

而我亦将她的话牢记。

某日，我遇到上帝；

上帝对我说：

“来吧，到我这儿来！

我有许多的好东西：

财富、智慧、和美丽……

一切都给你！”

而我却说：

“不要！妈妈说过：

不可以拿别人的东西！”

又一个某日，我遇到一个人；

那个人对我说：

“来吧，到我这儿来！

我会给你我的爱——

全部的爱！”

而我却说：

“不要！妈妈说过：

不可以拿别人的东西！”

When I was old enough to learn, mother told me:

"Never take things from others!"

And I certainly kept her words in mind.

One day, I met God;

And God said to me:

"Come, come to me!

I've got lots of wonderful things:

Wealth, Wisdom, and Beauty ...

All will be yours!"

Yet I refused:

"No, thanks! Mother said:

Never take things from others!"

Another day, I met a man;

And the man said to me:

"Come, come to me!

I'll give you my love –

All my love!"

Yet I refused:

"No, thanks! Mother said:

Never take things from others!"
