They are Turning in Their Graves

As one large mass, in one great turn

Our ancestors are turning in their graves

This one large heave is creating a shift

That causes those who forgot the decency of life…..

To live or die with the result

This one large heave is moving the earth,

With the power of great destruction.

The innocent are suffering the result,

Of actions of another.

In one large sigh, the ancestors say

“Where did we go wrong?”

“Where is the decency, the respect for life and

all our hard- earned advancements gone?”

This one large sigh sweeps over the world

Creating the winds of storms

And attempting to blow away “evil” in all forms.

The sighing hopes to return the world to that great place

Our ancestors struggled so hard to create

To stop the churning of the earth

To create a safer land

We need to follow the foot prints of the past

And let our ancestors rest at last.
