Why do this war... we wage

Why mostly do I feel tied...

In an imposing cage

Is not love... of others

To be enjoyed

The warmth of soft feelings

To overcome harsh realities

Is this not why in you I seek?

Is that not why, all these meanings?

Are we on the same page?

Or only me in this holding cage

Beaten and bruised

From hitting the sides

Time and time again,

As into my depression I descend

I have not only you

But another to deal

And I am very aware, this is real

But from neither do I want to take or steal

So, this to you I plead

Allow not... me to bleed

Stay close to my heart

As you have from the very start

Make me not... so I must choose between

You are new, shiny and bright
