勿须万水千山的跋涉，

转个弯，便将我带进

又一座名城。

这一刻，还是

杭州路上的行人，

下一刻，又站成

苏州路旁的风景。

夏日炎炎呵，躲在

浓郁树荫下的人们，

是否都有着

与我一样的心情——

渴盼着三脚两步

赶到济南路，

躲进济南的冬天，

那一座遥远的城？

Cities Within A City

No need to travel widely,

Taking a turn, I am

In another famous city.

At the moment, you are only

A passerby in Hangzhou Street,

Yet in the next moment, you’ll be standing

As a view in Suzhou Street.

What a hot summer day!

People hiding in the shade,

Are they, too, longing –

Longing to rush onto Jinan Street,

And hide in the winter of Jinan,

The city so far away?
