Self-Expression

为赋新词酒一杯，

思接千载似流水。

梦与古人舞蹁跹，

此生清贫终不悔。

To compose a fresh poem I drink a cup of wine,

My thoughts go through the ages like a stream.

To let the life in honest poverty I would feel fine,

If I could dance with ancient poets in my dream.
