嬌陽無力墜湖心﹐濺起澄波點點金。坐愛遠山明滅裡﹐獨貪松下有清陰。

A Poem Written at Watching-Fish-by-Flower-Bay in Hangzhou

The lovely sun falls in the center of the lake, being enervated

Splashing with golden specks in the clear waves

I love the distant hills, now bright, now dim, as sitting there

Coveting alone the cool shade under the pine tree
