It's a
small world I live in...
The
miles I travel are few,
With
always familiar faces
And a
sameness each day in my view.
I know
each highway and byway
And
every valley and hill,
The
landmarks that down through the ages
Are
standing staunch and still.
And
every tree has its place,
And I
know each country lane,
Where
each mailbox on the corner
Bears a
familiar name.
Yes, it's a small would I live in ,
But my
vision reaches the sky,
And in
fancy I've seen distant places
That
seem real as time passes by.
Yes,
mine is a simple and beautiful would,
And mine
is a lucky star,
And I am
contented and happy to live
In my
would with things as they are. |
